Quotations and Orders
- Quotations are valid for the number of days stated on the Quotation, or for 14 days if no period is stated.
- All Quotations are reviewed again at the time of Order. Any change to Your CAD file, drawing, quantity, material or finish after a Quotation is issued may result in a revised price and lead time.
- Lead times quoted are estimates based on our workload, machine availability and material stock at the time of quoting. If a lead time changes at the time You place Your Order, We will tell You before We begin work.
- We reserve the right to review and adjust a Quotation to reflect a sudden change in material, freight or foreign exchange costs, particularly on imported engineering materials.
- An Order is only confirmed once You accept the Quotation in writing, pay any deposit We ask for, or We otherwise confirm the Order to You in writing. Until then, We are not obliged to reserve machine time, material or tooling capacity for Your project.
- Voxelcore India cannot be held responsible for design flaws, missing features or omissions contained within CAD data or drawings that You supply, except where those flaws result from Our own error in interpreting a clear and complete file.
Website Content and Use Restrictions
All content on the Website, including text, graphics, logos, photographs, videos and software, is owned or controlled by Voxelcore India, our licensors or Forge Labs, and is protected under Indian copyright law and applicable international treaties, unless stated otherwise or where content belongs to a third party.
We may use photographs of finished parts, tooling and production floor activity, including parts made for Customers, to show our manufacturing capability. Where a part or product shown is a Customer's proprietary design, We will only use imagery of it with the Customer's consent, and We will not disclose confidential design details in doing so.
You may not reproduce, frame, download, store, communicate, publicly display, adapt or create a derivative work from any content on the Website without Our prior written permission. No trademark shown on the Website, whether registered or not, may be used without prior written permission from its owner.
Confidentiality and Your Files
Every CAD file, drawing, sketch, specification and piece of project information You send Us remains Your confidential information and Your property. We use it only to prepare Your Quotation, manufacture Your Goods and provide after sales support.
- We do not use Your files, designs or specifications for any other Customer's project.
- We do not publish or showcase Your designs without Your written permission, and We are happy to sign a mutual non disclosure agreement before You share sensitive files. Please ask Us when You send Your enquiry.
- Your confidential information may be disclosed to Our Subcontractors, in India or overseas, only to the extent necessary to complete Your Order, in accordance with Section 06.
- We may keep approved production files and specifications on record so that a repeat Order matches the first batch. You may ask Us to delete them at any time, subject to any legal or accounting record We are required to retain.
Use of Subcontractors and Third Party Suppliers
- Right to subcontract. By placing an Order, You agree that Voxelcore India may, at its discretion and without prior notice to You, engage Subcontractors located in India or overseas to perform all or part of Your Order.
- Scope of work. This applies to every stage of Your Order, including sourcing of materials, 3D printing, CNC machining, injection moulding, tooling, vacuum casting, post processing, finishing, surface coating, inspection, packaging and freight.
- Reasons for subcontracting. We may use Subcontractors due to material shortages, machine downtime or unavailability, volume exceeding our in house capacity, a process or finish not offered in house, or to meet Your requested lead time.
- Restricted projects. If Your project is subject to defence, export control, medical, government or other legal restrictions on where or by whom it may be manufactured, You must notify Us in writing before placing Your Order. We may quote on that basis, which may affect price and lead time, or decline the Order. You are responsible for identifying any such restriction.
- Specifications and quality. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the price, specification, material and tolerance in Your accepted Quotation continue to apply regardless of who performs the work. Parts produced wholly or partly by a Subcontractor are subject to the same tolerances and limitations set out in Section 07, and the use of a Subcontractor is not by itself grounds for rejection, cancellation or a refund.
- Confidentiality. We share Your files and Order details with a Subcontractor only to the extent reasonably necessary to perform the work, and We require them to keep that information confidential.
Dimensional Tolerances by Process
Manufacturing tolerance is the permissible variation in a dimension or physical property, based on the specific process used. Parts that fall within the tolerance stated below for their process are not defective, and no refund or remake will be provided solely because a part sits within its process tolerance. The overall quality and finish of a part also depends on Your design, wall thickness and geometric complexity, not only on the material chosen.
FDM 3D Printing ±0.15mm per 100mm
Features thinner than 1.0mm are not guaranteed. A general wall thickness of 1.2mm or greater is recommended.
SLA 3D Printing ±0.10mm per 100mm
Features thinner than 0.5mm are not guaranteed. A general wall thickness of 1.0mm is recommended.
SLS and HP MJF 3D Printing ±0.25mm to 0.3mm per 100mm
Features thinner than 0.8mm are not guaranteed. A general wall thickness of 1.0mm is recommended. Unless critical dimensions are specified in a 2D drawing, only bounding box dimensions are measured.
CNC Machining ±0.05mm to 0.025mm
Standard machining holds 0.05mm on critical features. Tighter tolerances down to 0.025mm are achievable only when specified with detailed 2D drawings and confirmed by Us in writing before manufacture. On larger machined assemblies, visible join or glue lines are possible.
Injection Moulding and Low Volume Injection Moulding ±0.1mm per 100mm
General expected tolerance across aluminium bridge tooling and hardened steel production tooling. Critical tolerances and surface finish requirements must be specified with a 2D technical drawing before tooling begins.
Vacuum Casting ±0.3mm or 0.3 percent
Whichever figure is greater, based on feature size. Shrinkage is compensated for at the master pattern stage. Features needing tighter tolerance, around 0.1mm, are usually machined or threaded after casting.
3D Scanning Output 0.02mm point accuracy
Achieved with our fixed blue light metrology scanners under controlled conditions. Handheld scans of large or on site parts reach roughly 0.1mm.
Please inspect Your files and specify critical dimensions before We begin manufacture. You must acknowledge the limitations of the chosen process before making a final decision on Your Order.
Tooling, Master Patterns and Silicone Moulds
- Ownership. Unless We have agreed otherwise with You in writing, aluminium bridge tools, hardened steel production tools, silicone moulds and master patterns produced for Your Order remain the property of Voxelcore India, even where the tooling cost has been charged to You as part of the Order.
- Guaranteed life. Tooling and moulds are guaranteed for the number of shots or parts quoted at the time of Order. Wear beyond that quoted life is expected and is not a defect.
- Storage. We store completed tooling and silicone moulds for a minimum of 9 months, and master patterns for a minimum of 3 months, from the date of the last production run, unless a different period is agreed in writing. After that period, tooling, moulds and patterns may be recycled, destroyed, or kept subject to a storage fee, at our discretion.
- Master pattern approval. For vacuum casting, unless otherwise agreed in writing, the master pattern must be approved and returned to Us before silicone tooling begins.
Pricing, Taxes and Payment
- All prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) unless stated otherwise, and are exclusive of GST unless the Quotation states that GST is included.
- GST, and any other applicable tax, duty or levy, will be added to Your invoice at the prevailing rate and shown as a separate line item.
- Payment terms, including any deposit required before work begins, any milestone payment due at first shot or T1 sample stage, and any balance due on or before dispatch, will be set out in Your Quotation or purchase order. Where no payment terms are specified, full payment is due before dispatch.
- We reserve the right to review and adjust pricing for an Order that has not yet been confirmed, to reflect a change in material, freight or exchange rate costs.
- Any cancellation or alteration of a confirmed Order must be given to Us in writing. Where an Order is cancelled after work has begun, You agree to pay for costs already incurred, including materials, tooling, machine time, labour and freight booked on Your behalf.
Delivery and Risk
We will use reasonable efforts to meet the dispatch dates quoted, but We are not liable for any special, incidental or consequential loss resulting from a delivery delay or an inability to deliver, including delays caused by a Subcontractor, international freight, customs clearance, material shortages or events outside Our reasonable control.
- Unless otherwise agreed in writing, freight, packaging and insurance charges are payable by the Customer and shown as a separate line on the invoice.
- Where You arrange Your own freight carrier or courier for pickup, title and risk of loss in the Goods passes to You once the carrier takes possession at Our premises.
- Where We arrange dispatch on Your behalf, We will choose a reasonable courier or transport method unless You have given Us specific written instructions in advance.
- If products are received damaged, please keep all packaging and notify both the carrier and Us in writing within three working days of receipt, and take photographs of the damage before unpacking further where practical.
Inspection and Nonconforming Parts
Please inspect Your Goods promptly on receipt. Any claim that a part does not conform to the agreed specification must be made to Us in writing within 14 days of receipt of the Goods, together with photographs and a clear description of the issue. Claims made after 14 days will not be accepted, except where the law does not allow this time limit to apply.
A claim of nonconformance will be assessed using a fit for purpose approach, judged against the specification, drawing and tolerance agreed at the time of Order. No liability is accepted for a part that is out of an unspecified, noncritical tolerance that does not affect the part's intended function.
A nonconforming part must be returned to Us before any repair, remake or replacement is provided, unless We agree otherwise in writing. A part that has been altered, machined, painted, assembled or otherwise post processed by You or a third party after delivery is not eligible for replacement or refund under this Section.
Warranty and Limitation of Liability
Voxelcore India warrants that Goods supplied will substantially match the specification, drawing and tolerance agreed in Your Quotation, within the limitations of the manufacturing process used, as set out in Section 07. If You supply Your own 3D model, drawing or design, You remain solely responsible for its suitability, performance and compliance with any applicable standard or regulation.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy available to You under the Consumer Protection Act 2019, the Indian Contract Act 1872, the Sale of Goods Act 1930, or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to the paragraph above, Voxelcore India will not be liable for any loss of profit, loss of income, loss of contracts, loss of data, loss of business opportunity, or any indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising from the supply, use, or inability to use, the Goods, Services or Website, whether foreseeable or not. Our total liability arising out of any single Order, however that liability arises, is limited to the amount actually paid by You for that Order.
Cancellation of Orders by Us
We may decline to accept, or may cancel, an Order at any stage, including after acceptance, for reasons such as the design being unfeasible for the requested process, a feature that would infringe a third party's rights, machine breakdown or unavailability, unavailability of material, or a delivery destination We are unable to service. Where We cancel all or part of an Order, We will notify You by email and, except in cases of fraud or a breach of these Terms by You, refund any amount already paid for the cancelled portion.
Intellectual Property
You warrant that You have the right to have Your design, model or drawing manufactured, including by a Subcontractor under Section 06, and that doing so will not infringe any third party's intellectual property rights or breach any law. You agree to indemnify Voxelcore India against any claim, loss or cost arising from a breach of this warranty.
Title to any tooling, jig or fixture We design and build for Your Order remains with Voxelcore India as set out in Section 08. Title to the finished Goods passes to You once We have received payment in full for that Order.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or an Order will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at [City], [State].
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our processes, pricing structure or the law. The version of these Terms in force at the time You place an Order will apply to that Order. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date at the top.
